Clark Judge of CBSSports.com writes that there’s been some speculation that the New York Giants could look to deal DE Osi Umenyiora at some point during the offseason. Umenyiora’s name was constantly coming in trade rumors during last season’s short-lived free agency period before the Giants ultimately chose to keep him. Still, Umenyiora will continue to push for a new contract in the coming months and the Giants have arguably the league’s best young defensive end in Jason Pierre-Paul. New York could look to deal Umenyiora rather than deal with another offseason filled with holdout threats and trade requests. Osi will be 30 at the start of the 2012 season and he should at least have some trade value. Source: NFL Trade Rumors
Of course they are considering it.....if your a GM, you have to consider those things.... I'd say it's a definite possibility that he is traded but it's not a certainty. He's shown his ability again as a pass rusher, and has probably maxed out his trade value (whatever that might be).
