Andre Brown ran for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns and the New York Giants turned in a dominating first-half performance to rout the Carolina Panthers 36-7 Thursday night. Eli Manning completed 23 of 30 passes for 256 yards in the first three periods, including a 14-yard touchdown pass to Martellus Bennett to cap the Giants' game-opening drive. With Brown repeatedly bouncing off tacklers and Manning looking sharp after a career-high passing performance last week, the Giants scored on their first four first-half drives to silence the Panthers' crowd. The Panthers, meanwhile, struggled to string together drives. Their first drive stalled near midfield, while another drive that had pushed near midfield in the last 2 minutes of the half ended when Jayron Hosley grabbed a deflected pass from Cam Newton for an interception. Well i thought we had an intriguing match up but the panthers couldn't play much worse and the giants looked like the sb champs finally. I went to sleep at halftime
apparently steve smith and some other players were not happy with cam's behavior last night and said some things to him and to the media. it will be interesting to see if cam can mature. obviously, no one can question his physical abilities but i'm not sure anyone is sold on his head at this point.
kinda loses its meaning down by so much. He should have pretended to put on glasses. Never understood a player celebrating when down like that.
I am surprised he didn't. They were few and far between. Still can't believe they handled us like that. We suck.
um, how can we ever 'expect' anything from the giants under coughlin? i stopped trying to figure them out years ago. they win when they're supposed to lose. they lose when they're supposed to win.
