Keith Bulluck was brought in as the heir apparent to Antonio Pierce's old job in the middle, but on Monday, Bulluck took snaps at outside linebacker in certain packages. Bulluck had been working at middle linebacker with the second team but now the Giants were using him some at outside linebacker. Since linebacker Chase Blackburn suffered an MCL injury last week against the Jets, the Giants have played musical chairs with their linebackers at times as head coach Tom Coughlin said he wanted his linebackers to learn different positions. But Bulluck seeing some snaps at outside linebacker impacts both Jonathan Goff and Clint Sintim and opens up questions as to who will start at middle linebacker and outside linebacker alongside starter Michael Boley. Coughlin said not to read into anything but he did suggest that competition for Sintim wouldn't be a bad thing. "He was outside and inside," Coughlin said of why Bulluck was used outside. "Just to make sure he is familiar. He has played there all his career, just make sure he is familiar to be more versatile." Source ESPN New York
