Giants Not Comfortable With Their Base-Defense Linebackers

  1. The Giants have shown through two games that they are not comfortable with their base-defense linebackers being on the field for the majority of the game. Mathias Kiwanuka plays at linebacker in some of the team's packages in order to get an extra pass rusher on the field, but don't expect to see Keith Bulluck for more than 30 snaps in any given contest.

PFT just drag up anything to pretend they have a story.

It's a scheme thing.....you have a DE who has played LB for a season or two at this level and overall is going to be a better pass rusher than almost any LB in a 4-3 (given he's a pretty good DE). So they use him at LB to pass rush....

That says absolutely nothing about the LB-ers apart from the fact that they don't have the ability of a DE to rush the passer (and if they did they'd probably have been a DE or a 3-4 LB-er).

Expect to see Base/Run defence a lot today vs a running team.
