Giants RB Andre Brown is still recovering from the left leg fracture he suffered in the preseason finale in New England, but he told the News that his recovery is “on schedule.†He’ll get X-rays in “a couple days,†he said, then figure out the next step. He was wearing a walking boot Wednesday, but he said that’s purely for “precautionary†reasons now. Brown is currently on short-term injured reserve, and he can’t return to the team until Week 10, so there’s little reason to rush the rehab process. After all, this is the second time he’s broken his left leg in two years. “That’s why they just want to make sure I come back, I’m full healed, and I’m ready to go,†he said.
