As Brandon Jacobs spent one miserable year in San Francisco – a year he called “a curse†– he swears he never once thought his career was over. That’s because he knew he was still good enough that the 49ers were “scared†they’d have to play him again someday. He learned that near the end of the season when he was suspended by the 49ers after he vented his frustration over his lack of playing time on Twitter, writing he’s “rotting away†in “by far the worst year I ever had.†According to a source, he asked the 49ers to release him and his hope was he’d rejoin the Giants for the stretch run and the playoffs. They said no. “I was told point blank, ‘Do I look like a fool to release you and you go play for someone else and come back and play against us? Do I look like a fool?’†Jacobs said on Wednesday after returning to the Giants. “I felt good about it. I was like, ‘OK, I see you all are scared of me.’†Source: Daily News
Who the heck is scared to have to play Jacobs (except maybe Laron Landry)? Jacobs isn't crap, look how big he is and more times than not he doesn't even convert 3rd/4th & 1s for the Giants.
You can just sense the fear of 49ers players in having to play against him.:rollinglaugh: He confuses fear with being smart.
