Brandon Jacobs has done his part. Now, it’s up to the New York Giants to take care of their end of the bargain and get Ahmad Bradshaw signed. Jacobs agreed to what Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily news described as a “small restructure†of his contract, giving the club some flexibility when it comes to the salary cap. Giants coach Tom Coughlin and general manager Jerry Reese have been consistent this offseason in saying they expect a bigger role for the big back this season. But they got a little savings from Jacobs and perhaps not it will facilitate the return of Bradshaw. Jacobs’ base salary for this season was $4.65 million. Source: National Football Post
Good to see Brandon living up to what he said earlier in the off-season. He likes the 1-2 punch of Jacobs and Bradshaw and he's put his money where his mouth is....
No surprise....ever since he got paid a few years ago he has been VERY consistent that he has no interest in putting in the work of being the number 1 guy.
