One of the guys who stood out in Friday’s OTA was Giants second-year safety Kenny Phillips. One thing that always jumped out about Phillips is his size but he has gotten larger this offseason. “Sixteen pounds since the season ended,” Phillips said with a smile (you do the math, he was listed at 210 last year and a few weeks ago safeties coach Dave Merritt said he was weighing in at 218). “I don’t know where it came from,” Phillips added, “but I’m proud if it.” He has also become more vocal on the field. “I guess that goes with me being comfortable,” he said. “I know the guys a whole lot better. I’m just feeling more and more comfortable with myself and the guys I’m playing with.” Source: Newsday
sweet, he'll be even slower “I don’t know where it came from,” Phillips added, “but I’m proud if it.” Steroid alert
How is that even possible unless its some fat weight. 16 pounds of just muscle in that short period of time is ridiculous.
