Giants To Cut WR David Tyree?

David Tyree, the most improbable hero of Super Bowl XLII instead of securing the ball on his helmet will have to pull a rabbit out of it if he is to find a place for himself on a Giants roster that seemingly has no place for him. This summer, even with the departures of Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer, there is no roster spot for Tyree. Four returning receivers are ahead of him -- Steve Smith, Domenik Hixon, Mario Manningham and Sinorice Moss -- and the two rookie draft picks, Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden, are locks to stick. Another problem for Tyree is he hasn't been making enough plays.

Not only do they have too many receivers, but Tyree has had a pretty bad camp thus far.

I don't have enough respect for him to fight about it. Besides, I didn't know he'd get so butt hurt over "dork" that he's pull out mod status, lol.

 

Tyree is a bum, just because he made one miracle catch shouldn't secure him a job. Hell, look at what Timmy Smith did in the superbowl for the skins (204 yards in 1988) and was out of work 2 seasons later, except for one forgettable game with the cowboys in 1990.

 

Perhaps he will write a book?

Bum? I wouldn't call him a bum. He is a gamer and is a great special teams player. He had the game of his life as he scored the Giants first TD too. But yea that doesn't earn you a roster spot. What have you done for me lately.
