Giants To Release OG Rich Seubert

Discussion in 'New York Giants' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jul 26, 2011.

  1. The Giants have informed offensive lineman Rich Seubert he will be released this week, according to someone informed of the transaction who requested anonymity because the move isn't official. Seubert confirmed the news when reached by phone but didn't want to speak about the situation until the move is official. Seubert, 32, is coming off major reconstructive knee surgery after dislocating his knee in the season finale against the Redskins. It's unclear at this point if the Giants are planning to bring Seubert back at a lower rate later this season. He was scheduled to earn $2.25 million in base salary.

Gonna be a lot of work to be done with the Giants O-Line...especially after releasing O'Hara.

Agreed. But I think they might make a play at some ATL O-line FA.
