Because of the labor uncertainly, the Giants will sit tight and wait before trying to re-sign some of their core free agents. That group includes WR Steve Smith, DT Barry Cofield and RB Ahmad Bradshaw, but it might not include DE-OLB Mathias Kiwanuka, who is rehabbing from a serious neck injury. Giants GM Jerry Reese hinted that the team might offer Kiwanuka only a one-year deal when a new CBA is in place as a form of incentive to return to form, but Pro Football Weekly hears there are several teams that may be interested in gambling on giving Kiwanuka a better offer.
