Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz had a tough night in the Giants 24-17 loss to the Cowboys. He dropped three passes and had two penalties. “They were just drops,†Cruz told Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. “I just lacked concentration. A couple of them were just me leaving too early before I caught the ball. It is what it is.†There was also the lack of a holding penalty when he was grabbed by Orlando Scandrick near the goal line in the first half. “I felt like I got grabbed a little more than usual,†he said, “but you can’t have any excuses.†“Victor has on occasion had some concentration drops where he tries to run before he catches the ball,†coach Tom Coughlin said afterward. “That’s something he has to continually work on and he’ll work on it again.†Source: The Redzone
my friend is a HUGE cruz fan which makes me HATE him, and before the game we were playing madden and he was the giants and cruz kept dropping passes he was like "unrealistic, wasnt cruz like top of the league in least passes dropped?". well now he leads the league....CLBUTTIC
We are playing a lot of press now. He is used to us playing off man. Natural for a player to have a bad game when a team shows a style they haven't played On top if that. I don't think he be as effective as an outside WR Sent from my HTC Vivid
He also got held in the endzone by Scandrick, first big call that these new refs blew. God knows they were on point with like the 15 false starts.
lol classic blowing the replacement refs out of proportion. if they didnt tell us we wouldnt notice. and the only reason anyone makes a big deal about it is the announcers cite that theres replacement refs every 5 minutes
It was 4:30 am here when I saw that and I could even see that Scandrick held him. I really don't care about the replacement refs the point is that it should have been called and it wasn't not an excuse or anything just saying that it was bullcrap. Other than that 1 call they did a good job.
The normal refs miss those "calls" too. Like k train said, you probably wouldn't have even noticed had the media not point it out every 5 minutes. That game wasn't horribly officiated at all. Should be interesting to see what Sunday brings though.
