ESPN is reporting that is "unlikely" wide receiver Victor Cruz will be in attendance on Monday when the New York Giants begin their OTAs. The restricted free agent is, of course, involved in what seems headed toward becoming a drawn-out negotiation with the Giants for a new contract.

ESPN's Ed Werder reported that "there have been no proposals exchanged, no negotiations" between Cruz, now represented by high-powered agent Tom Condon, and the Giants.

Cruz has been among the receivers who has been working out this week at Duke University with quarterback Eli Manning.

Giants' defensive end Justin Tuck said Thursday he hopes to see Cruz at the Giants' training facility on Monday.

"I have no reason not to [believe Cruz won't be there]," Tuck said at an appearance at a NFL Play 60 event at P.S. 21. "He hasn't said anything as far as why he wouldn't be there, even though, obviously, [there's] the contract situation.

"But for me, I think the biggest way to get things settled is to be there in good faith, I guess," Tuck added. "But I can't answer questions for Victor, he has to do what's best for him. And hopefully, when it's all said and done, he's doing a salsa in a Giants uniform this season, that's all I'm worried about."
