Being bored pre-superbowl, I thought of an idea of having a league on this site with members competing against each other with their photoshop skills, run in an NFL type fashion.

The league would be played out by the League Commisioner (Me) posting in this thread the requirements of the graphic (Eg. Signature, 1024x768 Background, Animation) and the deadline for it to be PM'ed to me.

The contest would be played out by other members voting between two graphics (eg. Andy82's Graphic vs Jammin Jaguars graphic), with the member who has the most votes winning the tie and adding to their Win column, and the loser adding to their Loss column.

The fixtures are determined by who is in their conference (eg. Member A, B, C, D being in Conference A, so they play each other once), and a single game at the end of the regular against a member in the same position in the other conference (eg. Member D is 4th so they are against Member G, who is 4th in the other conference).

When the regular season is over, depending on the amount of members registered, the top three (for example) from each conference would enter the playoffs, with second and third placed members facing off in the wildcard for the right to make the Conference Championship Matchup.

When the Conference Champions are determined, they meet up in GL Bowl I, and the winner of that matchup is declared the champion.

Basically the votes of the Inter-Conference Matchups are added up and the winning conference members will recieve a reward (See Below)

Conference Finalists: $1000vcash
Wildcard Losers: $750vcash
Group Stage Losers: $500vcash

Conference Bowl Champions: $500vcash + Gift
Member who recieves most votes for week: $100vcash

When you say the regular season and so on... What would be the time period for this whole idea?

 

If eight people join, the amount of rounds the whole game would have is 7 rounds, so I'd say a minimum of 2 weeks and a max of 3 weeks.

I would gladly join, but I don't have Photoshop on the hard drive now, because I only have 128 MB RAM (w/ XP... lol) and it would probably not even run, or would crash. Anyway I am looking forward to see your stuff.
