GIF's 5th Anniversary Starts With A Dedicated Server

​

Well as more and more members read their emails they will know that GIF is back and on our new dedicated server. With a new server we also celebrate GIF's 5th anniversary being in existence and from where we started to where we are right now is a HUGE change all for the better and to make our members here happy.

We wanted to start this 2009 Football season on good footing with a dedicated server to help with the traffic that we are expecting and end the lag time that we had experienced on VPS.

Steve, myself and all the staff hope that all our members enjoy the new changes and tell others that if they are looking for a new place to hang, GIF is here and ready.

FYI...if you experience some slow times, we are rebuilding some behind the scenes things and it has nothing to do with our new server.

Wow...the dark era....we have come a long way! :icon_eek:

I can't believe it's been five years already. I hope this FINAL server move will be the start of big things for this site. It seems the site was jinxed for months and now finally, right before the season kicks off it seems we will finally be able to deliver the site we wanted to.

Gotta agree the new server is riding pretty well so far. It's not as fast as it used to be but it's functional for the first time in a few months.
