Philadelphia Spectrum Goes Down for the Count --FanHouse :icon_cry:
just off the top of my head i saw the following bands at the spectrum: aerosmith - 8xs gnr black crowes 3xs def leppard ted nuggent motley crue 2xs van halen deep purple bad company tesla 3xs great white the cult ozzy 2xs dio 2xs metallica 3xs iron maiden jimmy page bon jovi cinderella ratt quiet riot boston rush
yeah i spent many a dollar going to concerts there. not to mention all of the hockey and basketball games. saw the phantoms (AHL) clinch the calder cup there in 1998 with my then 4yr old son.
ah, that brings back memories .............. saw most of those back in the day too ............ no ac/dc though? right now, my kids range from 11 to 17 yrs old and they steal all of my cd's of my bands from the 70's and 80's ............. it pisses me off .................:icon_evil:
ac/dc is one of the few bands i haven't seen live. also missed the cars as well as the who, did see the stones but that was at JFK.
I saw many events there as well and had the pleasure of working in the old place for 5 years, so I really got to see the ins and outs of the old place. Surely it will be missed. Happy to see the last show there last Halloween...

Most of my memories are Sixers & Flyers games there. Never seen any concerts, but I did see Barnum & Bailey Circus as a kid. Sad to see it go.
