For 2011, Nicks by a landslide. Dez proved last year he was worth the hype and will be a top #1 in the NFL, but he has alot of work to do understanding the playbook and running routes.

In 3 years, I think it will be Dez. But Dez wont be the #1 WR this year and in 2012 will have to fight and claw with Austin (who IMO is a more talent WR)

I am with JJ, Dez will have a couple big games this year just due to ability to RAC, but as far as overall WR, Nicks has him at this point. Nicks is the unquestioned #1 on the Giants now and has the confidence of his QB. It will be Dez in time, but not this year.

  5. Nicks has PROVEN he is a big play wideout in the NFL. Also in a big city with alot of expectations imo Dez hasn't ....So I give the edge to Nicks.

Nicks of course has the resume already at this level so as of now he's ahead, but Dez Bryant has the ability to be a top 5 receiver in this league easily. If Dez lives up to the hype this thread should just be deleted.

Nicks is going into his 3rd season and will have the other Giants receivers to compete with plus Jerrel Jernigan.
To my understanding the Cowboys are going to cut Roy Williams, and Miles Austin is the only other good receiver on the team. I believe it won't take 3 years but this year in his 2nd season Dez will prove to be better than Nicks and that top 5 WR.

I dont think this is the year we cut Williams I think it will be 2012. hard to say, because its all about money with that and even our cap guys on ye ole homer cant figure if we take a hit or save this season. His deal is kinda confusion in that respect

Williams wont be the #2 even if he plays well. He started very qwell last year and Dez still outplayed him

i think they are both pretty spectacular talents....give me dez though, hes just primed to be a dominant WR imo, giants got a good one in nicks though

Nicks as of now but Dez is a freak of nature and just needs to work on his routes. Not looking forward to the Giants having to face him twice a year for the next decade or so.

If Tony Romo can learn how to take advantage of Dez's height & strength, there offense could resemble Schaub 2 AJ.
Watch how Cutler uses Roy Williams this year and you'll see the difference in QBs that put trust in there big receivers (Brett Favre). Romo prefers little speedy WRs and check downs to the TEs and RBs. Not that Roy gave him any reason to trust him, but big WR's don't like low thrown passes where little WRs excell at but rather up high where they have the advantage.
