What will replace Hank Jr., a Monday night staple since 1989? For now, a preview segment will be shown before the kickoff, and the intro for Monday night's Lions-Bears game at Ford Field will be narrated by ... "Ok, I admit it," Barry Sanders tweeted. "I will be at MNF this week and doing the intro." Said ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz, "This is the format we'll likely use the remainder of the season. We haven't made any decisions beyond that."

I think this would be awesome. I'd rather watch a great player from one of the teams playing talk about the game. I don't need to see some bullcrap song and dance every week.

Old school highlights with a hall of Famer narrating? I'm good with that. Much better than Williams.

Good ol' Barry narrating will be a treat! I'm a Bears fan but I used to LOVE watching Barry Sanders run all over defense's week in and week out. I'd much rather Barry hold the rushing record than Emmitt "I always had great O-line's" Smith. Screw Emmitt Smith!!!
