Saints running back Darren Sproles will not play in Week 9 against Philadelphia after having surgery to repair a broken hand, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Sproles was unable to practice this week ahead of Monday night's game because of the issue and could possibly be sidelined for additional weeks. In his second year with the Saints, Sproles has gained 323 yards on 39 catches to rank as the leading receiver in the NFL among all running backs through eight games. Pierre Thomas is expected to be the primary replacement for Sproles. Source: CBSSports
that's what confuses the crap out of me....PT is a beast when he runs. If he got the touches of a full time RB (and stayed healthy) he'd be a top ten back....but for some reason they won't do that
PT is averaging I think 2 yards a pop. Ivory is popping for 4. Since there is on Coach Payton why not change the way the running backs are used?
