Carolina Panthers third-year head coach Ron Rivera said Monday his Panthers team is beginning to feel like a playoff team, Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer reports. Rivera was quick to point out the Panthers (5-3) still have plenty of room for improvement, and acknowledged the schedule gets tougher, beginning this weekend at San Francisco. "I'm confident in who our guys are. And I'm an optimist," Rivera said. "But the thing I want to stress is this is the next most important game we play because it's the one we're about, and that's the 49ers." "It feels like a team that has an opportunity, has a chance to go forward and be better. We're not anywhere where we need to be," Rivera said. "There is a lot for us to do — and a lot for us to learn." Source: The Redzone DaBears22's Take: Panthers are only one game back from the Saints in the NFC South. Their next four games are against the 49ers, Patriots, Dolphins, and Buccaneers. Depending on how they get through these games and finish the season and the Saints as well, the Panthers could very well be a playoff team. They also have one more game against the Saints that could decide their season.
With the Falcons not being competitive and the state of the NFC, the Panthers can easily be a playoff team if they continue to handle their business.
I've been beating this drum for a few weeks. Their defense may be the best in the nfl. If cam will play within himself and not kill their offense, they can definitely get to double digit wins
Panthers have been competitive for a yer now I expect them to get in the playoffs if they dont slump in November Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
