This is what i think needs to get done Coaching: I'll start off by saying that even tho Wade has done a great job with the Defence, I think a change at the top is need. You dont take a team with this much talent and miss the playoffs. Injury's or no injuries. We have been outcoached too many times this year - I would bring in Rex Ryan to coach this team. He would introduce probably the top 3-4 system in the NFL, and a system that also uses 4-3 sets. Im kinda worried about the HC success of Ravens DC's. But he seems better built to be a HC than Lewis and Nolan. - As an offensive coodinator. I would bring Norv back to big D. he is crap as a HC, but is the best OC in the game. - For a DC. I would bring in Mike Nolan. He was Ryans predecessor in Baltimore, so he know's the system. Dallas could be a good springboard to another HC job Personnel wise: I would tender Miles high (2nd) and try to work a deal out during the season I would cut ties with Owens. He's just not the player he was. It was a nice ride. Give Austin the #2 WR slot See Terrell Owens I would let the other mid level FA's walk. Burnett, Canty, I think there are a couple more. I dont want to overpay for marginal talent I would make two FA add's. Channing Crowder of Miami and Sean Jones of Cleveland. In the draft, considering we will have about 11 picks, trade up into the high second, early first for BJ Raji. With a True NT we can move rat all along the line, much like Tuck in NY. I dont see anything radical, other than coaching. There have been too many games this year where we never adjusted, or went in with a limp wristed gameplann. I know thats on Stewart, but Wade has to take the burden of that being the HC
I agree with your assessment...even if we somehow make the play-offs (in which we'll be one-and-done again, anyway...)
In our offence, yes. But alot of that is because Witten has to be respected more than most TE's I just seems TO is declining really fast As for Austin, the dudes a gamebreaker, and he has gotten alot better this year. He has all the tools of a 1st round draft pick, but came in more as an athlete. I think another offseaon of work, and he could be a dangerous #2
hopefully we can utilize tony curtis more and get more of Bennett and Witten recieving at the same time
It would never happen I dont have problems with how the D has looked of late, but it just may have been too little, too late
isnt the OC (forgot his name?) like already ready to take over the HC job? sean jones will be a brown next year and a True NT isnt gonna last long on the board....the last one to come out was probably ngata and he went early. i know you were liking al woods earlier in the year, im not sure what his draft status is right now....im all about tyson jackson but woods in a NT
There are a few this year that seem to be late firsts early seconds now. Not Ngata quality, but solid prospects. Raji, Taylor and Woods if he declares. Ratliffs ability to play all over the line, who could be worked in They guy has been horrible. The dude came in with fantastic ideas and it all worked out until the league figured him out, and he just never adjusted. Also if you watch every Cowboys game from 07 where there offence dominated, you'll notice a pattern. They kill teams when they run the ball to set up the pass, even when the run doesnt work (look at the Eagles game this year)
