Working in the trenches of the NFL I get to hear the complaints of front office people, players and coaches that won’t be voiced publicly. In addition, I attend and watch a lot of games just like the average fan. Here are four ways we make the NFL more enjoyable for all. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Improving-the-NFL.html
Why I hate that SOB Take two Draft picks from my team - fine them - suspend the head coach for a full season. I doubt you'll ever see a punishment handed out like that ever again. His goal was to set the entire organization back five years, for the mistakes of one man.
Just like you don't ever want refs to be the focus of a game or alter the outcome, the NFL should be known for the game, not the celebrity of it's commissioner... Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?
Just a waste of my breath because it's going to get worse, but eliminate the Thursday Night games. The quality of the games is worse than horrific.
expand the replay rules as to what can and what can't be reviewed.let pass interfence calls be part of the things that can be challenged. find a way to design safer equipment or else we will find organized sports outlawed with the next 100 years.
Also on my list...right next to the blackout. Dump the Thursday Night games...bring back the 1:00pm, 4:00pm and 8:30pm Saturday games in between the regular season and college bowl games.
I used to think the same @Diesel44, but then I had a surge of reality and that reality is 300lb. guys running the 40 in less than 5 seconds are gonna get hurt regardless. (Maybe somebody can design a mattress that can be strapped to one's dome.)
You do realize that Goodell is little more than a mouthpiece and a public face of a corporation, right? He is the voice of the owners as a group; anything he does, any punishments he levies, any actions that he takes, are all sanctioned and approved by the owners and/or Merton Hanks and the competition committee. Hating Goodell for whats happening in the NFL is like hating Ronald McDonald for your crapty cheeseburger.
So you're saying the punishment doled out by Goodell was read by and approved by the owners of other NFL teams? If so, I'll have to fact check that one... wasn't aware
The refs!!Just want some consistency.Last weeks Eagles v Vikings game was hardly a flag in first 3 qtrs, then they start throwing flags everywhere for things that weren't called earlier! While it didn't affect the outcome,it just pisses me off when you suddenly have a new set of rules for one qtr. Also something needs to be done about replay. The whole argument for having replay was "we just want to get the call right" so what the heck are they looking at when a guy is clearly down before he gets anywhere near the goal line but they still call a TD…or a guy is clearly down before a fumble but they go with the call on the field and turn the ball over. Sometimes i wonder if some of these refs are in the pockets of Vegas betting syndicates.
