Is It My Computer? Or Is GIF Slow For Me?

GIF has kinda been running slow for me. IDK why?

It's doing fine for me, considering I have downloads going.

 

Its been slower than usual for me as well.

 

yes its been a little slower not by much but some

 

its very slow..almost 3 seconds between pages.

 

It's crawling for me.

 

We think it's the added affiliates scrolling page, not sure but we have an Easter brunch to get to so it'll have to wait.

I noticed some speed issues on my end this morning so I took out the scrolling affiliates section at the bottom of the page. I also got rid of some of the fluff down there. We now have all our featured affiliates listed with no scrolling script and some of the functional topsites we are on. After I made the changes it seems the issues are gone.

 

Yeah, it's much better.

Putting too much fancy mods on a page usually causes slow down

 

Yep, I am positive the scrolling affiliates put the page over the top. I also got rid of one of the ads (it was getting zero hits) and got rid of the sitemeter (it had to load every time). That made a HUGE difference.

I did keep the scrolling affiliates on the home page (far right column) and added it to the top of our links page. As we add more links from other sites I will start categorizing them.
