While the Oakland Raiders reportedly have "legitimate interest" in acquiring Matt Flynn, the Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have cooled on the prospect of trading for the Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback. The Jags have been connected to Flynn, in large part, because new head coach Gus Bradley saw Flynn up close and personal as the defensive coordinator in Seattle last season. One source told The Florida Times-Union that Bradley and the Jaguars performed their "due diligence" on Flynn, but have "ultimately decided not to pursue a trade" with the Seahawks. The Times-Union report bolsters Yahoo! Sports' Michael Silver's inside information that the Jags have "little inclination" to pursue Flynn. Committed to building through the draft, rather than freely spending on mediocre veterans, new general manager David Caldwell appears poised to make good on his pledge to build around Blaine Gabbert.
