Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver delivered the bad news, then the good. "We're not gonna sell 21,281 [tickets] in time [to lift television blackouts]," he said. Then Weaver announced Tuesday that the club expects approximately 8,000 tickets in group sales from local businesses, cutting the 21,281 seats the club needs to sell to avoid television blackouts by its August preseason opener to 13,281. The Jaguars have approximately four months to accomplish their goal. "It's important to fill the stadium, but it's also important for our future to get our games on television," Weaver said. "We have a lot of little 6-, 7-, 8-year-olds we're growing as future fans. We have to get our games on television to grow back the fan base." Source: Florida Times-Union
