Jacksonville Jaguars Pro Bowl RB Maurice Jones-Drew is expected to have surgery this week to repair his partially torn meniscus in his right knee. Jones-Drew suffered the injury during training camp. He toughed it out for most of the season but couldn’t play in the final two regular-season games. “We knew in training camp," Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said. “He didn’t want to talk about it. It’s his body. He fought through the year. I think you saw two great examples of competitors this year; (Houston Texans WR) Andre Johnson, who just sat out for Houston, and Maurice. I think those guys, what they did for their teammates, unbelievable. The commitment level that Maurice made to his teammates and to his team, to fight through what he fought through and to have the kind of year he had with the leg that was bothering him all year was tremendous. I give him a lot of credit.†Source: Fox Sports
