As the Jacksonville Jaguars' new ownership seeks ways to improve the fan experience for patrons at EverBank Field, one thing still stands out as an issue - the tarps. According to the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars are trying to find a solution to the problem of having nearly 10,000 seats covered for each home game. But a workable answer is not easily found. â€We’re working on a number of ideas,†Jaguars team president Mark Lamping said. “We’d like to get something done this year, but maybe we won’t be able to. It needs to be a done in a way to enhance the fan experience as opposed to an advertising panel. We haven’t come up with a solution, but we’re working very hard.†The Jaguars can't just take the seats out of the stadium because of the annual Georgia-Florida game that fills the building to capacity. Plus, the Gator Bowl is held each year there, and if that game is fortunate enough to get an attractive enough matchup, then the extra seats are needed there as well. Source: National Football Post
The obvious one is to make tickets affordable, but god forbid an NFL team doing that! Yeah I know, the Florida fans still wouldn't turn up even if they were free.
