Free agent cornerback Terrence Wheatley will sign a two-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports. Wheatley was waived by the New England Patriots when Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins was added to their 53-man roster on Saturday. A second-round pick (62nd overall) out the University of Colorado in 2008, Wheatley appeared in 11 games for the Patriots, totaling 4 tackles and a pair of passes defensed. Wheatley was not active for any games for New England this season. The Jaguars, who are coming off a bye, will need to make a corresponding transaction to add Wheatley to the active roster.
