The Jaguars have said that they are not interested in holding a "fire sale" of sorts that could include trades of veterans like Maurice Jones-Drew or Paul Posluszny, but according to a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Jaguars aren't opposed to the idea of trading away their three-time Pro Bowl running back if the offer is right. So obviously if a decent trade offer is present for Jones-Drew, it would be in the Jaguars' best interest to prepare for the long-term as the running back isn't going to help the team to the playoffs in 2013. Source: SBNation.com SteveRobWhatever's Take: I wonder what the right terms would be. Maurice Jones-Drew must be salivating at the thought of someone coming up with a deal to save him from NFL purgatory. He's been a wasted talent for too long. His numbers might be down this year, but look at that team. It's pretty bleak in Jacksonville.
I doubt anybody offers up enough that they'll do it. That said, he's on several of my teams and I'd obviously love him to be somewhere else.
