Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts, who made his preseason debut Saturday against the Eagles after dealing with a strained calf, said Monday he was satisified with his workload. He played the first half, recording one catch (two targets) for 20 yards.

"The body felt pretty good," he said, per The Florida Times-Union. "I’m in better condition than I thought. I was expecting to be a little more tired than I was because of the tempo we played. Now it’s about getting back in a rhythm and doing what I do on the field."

Shorts said he expects to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Falcons.

"Hopefully I’ll get a good amount of reps and then it’s time to get ready for Kansas City (Week 1)," he said.
