St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Friday at the NFL Combine that his club is considering the possibility of signing his former defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth. "There's some unrestricted free agents out there that are not under contract that we've been talking about. He's one of them, and that is something that remains to be seen,†Fisher said. Haynesworth enjoyed his best seasons with Fisher while both were with the Tennessee Titans, with the defensive tackle leaving as a free agent after a standout 2008 season. He signed a $100 million contract with the Washington Redskins, but was not as productive there. He was eventually dealt to New England just after the lockout ended, but was waived by the Patriots in mid-season and claimed by Tampa Bay. Source: National Football Post
if he wants to give him the league minimum and tell him if he wants to 'try out' for the team in camp, I don't mind that approach at all. low risk.
