When the Titans claimed future Hall of Famer Randy Moss off of the waiver wire all expectations were that Moss would make an immediate impact on the team especially making plays deep down field, but through his first two games as a Titan Moss has one catch for 26 yards. When asked about Moss after the game, Fisher said quarterback Vince Young missed Moss on a few occasions in the first half. "Randy was open, Randy was open early in the game," Fisher said. "It's not Randy's fault, and then Randy was double covered. It's just one of those things." Fisher said Moss has done everything that has been asked of him in the time he's been here, including his work ethic in throughout the week. "There's no issues with Randy as far as his ability and things like that. He's doing a great job on the field, in the locker room, and in the classroom working hard. he just wants to help this team win." Source: TitansRadio.com
I think Fisher is done with Vince Young, but Bud Adams still likes him. My guess is that Jeff Fisher won't get fired, he'll quit after this season.
I laugh at these stories saying that Randy's not helping the team or questioning his work ethic. The dude is opening up all kinds of crap for the Titans right now. Johnson hadn't rushed for 100 yards since Week 6. Since Moss has been in Tennessee, he's rushed for 100 in both games Randy's been in. He's definitely affecting the offense in a positive way even if the numbers aren't tagged to his name.
c.j. only went 2 games without 100 yards prior to moss joining the team. 4 of the prior 6 games he had run for 100+. i disagree that moss has made a difference in their offense. they look the same as they have all year (erratic at best). kenny britt was already giving them a deep threat so there is really no difference in this offense right now from a few weeks ago. The titans main problem is not really on offense anyway. their defense is a mess. they started out promising and looked pretty good the first couple of games but they have been complete crap since then.
