According to owner Jerry Jones, one of the Cowboys' main objectives this off-season is to sign wide receiver Miles Austin to a long-term contract. Jones said it will be difficult because of the potential of an uncapped season in 2010 and the uncertainty that lies ahead, but he believes it can be done. Austin, 25, will most likely receive the highest restricted free agent tender offer possible, a $3.168 million salary and compensation of a first- and third-round pick if he signs with another team -on Thursday, but the Cowboys will continue to work toward a lucrative contract extension for the receiver. "To some degree, there's some ambiguity [in the current labor climate]," Jones said. "But I don't know at the end of the day that you ought not to be able to overcome that and come to an agreement on his contract. You ought to be able to overcome that." JJ would be a total moron if he didn't sign Miles to a long-term contract. Miles is the only receiver, besides Witten, that Romo completely trusts because Miles is the only Cowboy who runs routes 100 MPH.
