Jerry Jones has come to terms with a development that's been painfully obvious to anybody following his Cowboys of late: DeMarco Murray is starting material. Jones finally turned the corner Tuesday, acknowledging that Murray's 601 rushing yards in four games has earned him the starting running back role over veteran Felix Jones, who's set to return Sunday against the Redskins after missing four weeks with a high ankle sprain. "It looks like (Murray) can (start)," Jerry Jones told KRLD-FM, according to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I don't know just exactly how on top of his game he'll be, but, man, am I anxious to have both of those options out there. One thing that comes to my mind that Murray looks like the more he carries -- the more effective he gets. If you think of that theoretically, about a workhorse running back, that they get better as the game goes along." Source: NFL.com
Why Jerry Jones would be commenting on players starting and not starting is beyond me. I thought that was the head coaches job...no? Jerry needs to take a page out of Daniel Snyders latest book and lock himself in a closet.
Come on Jerry likes the taste of shoe. Its been no secret Jerry needs to just use the rubber stamp on the checks and shut his trap and let the football people do their thing. But when your ego is bigger then Donald Trumps comb over, its hard to be quiet.
