The Jets ran no Wildcat plays with quarterback Tim Tebow against the Bengals in their preseason opener. They are trying to keep their exact plans for Tebow under wraps until the regular season arrives Sept. 9 against the Bills. Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that Jets head coach Rex Ryan said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis called him Thursday morning to ask him not to run the Wildcat. “I know nobody’s worried about Wildcat and all that stuff. It’s real easy to stop,â€￾ Ryan said sarcastically. “That’s why I got a call at 7 a.m. the day before we played by Marvin not wanting to see the Wildcat. I guess I’m the only guy who thinks it has a place in the NFL, me and every defensive coach in the league.â€￾

I doubt Marvin was serious if he "asked" that...btw...the wildcat hasn't really been relevant since Ronnie Brown...lol.

Last year there were reports that the saints coaching staff felt disrespected that harbaugh did not call them and tell them how they wanted to play there preseason game. so the saints blitzed the crap out of alex Smith. So Marvin Lewis calling and saying no wildcat maybe true.

That is the only way Williams knows how to play defense. Blitz and blitz. Then blitz some more.
