The unidentified Jets employee Brett Favre allegedly enlisted to help him connect with game-day hostess Jenn Sterger was the team’s senior manager of operations, Aaron Degerness, who could emerge as an important figure in the case if Sterger files a lawsuit based on sexual harassment or emotional distress against the team or the NFL. Sterger’s attorney, Joseph Conway, could call Degerness as a witness in an attempt to prove that Jets employees knew about – and even facilitated – Favre’s attempts to woo Sterger. A source familiar with the team told the Daily News that Favre was referring to Degerness in a voicemail that was posted on Deadspin on Oct. 7: “I’d love to have you come over tonight. I think Aaron came up and asked you if you would give him your number or he was going to give you my number.†Degerness refused to say if he has been interviewed by NFL investigators and declined further comment. He referred the Daily News to Jets spokesman Bruce Speight, who did not return calls.

I guess he felt a moral obligation vs. agreeing to split the profits with Sterger when she settles out of court. Oops..I didn't mean to say that.
