Jets receiver Santonio Holmes dealt with the recovery from two different foot surgeries all offseason but he may be on the doorstep of his return. According to the New York Post, sources says the Jets expect Holmes to play. Another source told the paper that Holmes’ playing time would be limited. Holmes has practiced this week coach Rex Ryan said he remained hopeful that Holmes would be available. But while the Jets sound encouraged, Holmes mostly soundly discouraged throughout training camp.
