The Jets defense looked as if it had no answer for Dolphins running back Reggie Bush early in yesterday’s game. Well, maybe the Jets did have one answer. Bush left the Jets’ eventual 23-20 overtime victory in the second quarter with a knee injury after gaining 61 yards on his first 10 carries. Jets linebacker Calvin Pace intimated that injury was no accident. “Reggie, I guess he was doing his thing for a quarter or two,†Pace said. “We had to put him on out. We didn’t see him again.†Pace could face a fine once the league hears that comment, especially in light of the Saints’ Bountygate scandal. Source: New York Post
What a freaking goober. I'm gonna say this, when I played highschool football if there was a player in there that was freaking killing us, if we had no answer for him. Certain coaches would be like I can't say hurt him too you but freaking stop him. And another coach would come up and say verbatim. "I don't give a heck about the kid so freaking take him out of the game for good." Football is an aggressive game, I don't believe in pay for injury but y'know players are going to want to freaking knock someone who is doing really well against their team the heck out of the game. This is a freaking moronic statement especially now in this time?????? Maybe like 4 or 5 years ago this would've been alright but right now? What the heck is wrong with you.
