The New York Jets made 22 transactions Saturday to get their roster down to the NFL's mandated 53-player limit.

Players released from the Jets organization were running back Mossis Madu, wide receivers Michael Campbell, Mohammed Massaquoi, Ben Obomanu and Zach Rogers, tight end Chris Pantale, offensive linemen Erik Cook, J.B. Shugarts and Jason Smith, defensive linemen Junior Aumavae, Lanier Coleman, Tevita Finau and Antonio Garay, linebackers Troy Davis, JoJo twinkyson and Jacquies Smith, defensive backs Royce Adams, Mike Edwards and Rontez Miles, and kicker Dan Carpenter.

The Jets have also moved running back Mike Goodson to the reserve/suspended list. The 26-year-old Goodson was suspended four games on August 26 for violating the NFL's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Goodson, who signed a three-year, $6.9 million contract this offseason, was arrested on May 17 on drug possession and weapon charges.
