After Sunday night's 34-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, when the Jets passed 35 times and ran just 19, guard Matt Slauson said coach Rex Ryan emphasized in today's team meeting getting back to running the football according to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star Ledger.. "A lot of our problems stem from not being able to run the ball," Slauson said. "We've put such an emphasis on our passing game because of Mark's maturity and all of our outside threats, wev'e been working that so much, and our running game kind of got put on the back burner a little bit. And that’s really shown in games. So now we’re going to start emphasizing the run a lot, because in the past, everything we could do was because we could run the ball so great. So we need that identity back." Source: The Red Zone
