New York Jets running back Mike Goodson has been indicted on two weapons charges stemming from a traffic stop in New Jersey back in May.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office put out a press release Thursday announcing that Goodson was indicted on a second-degree charge of unlawful possession of a handgun and a fourth-degree charge of prohibited weapons and devices.

SteveRobWhatever's Take: It has not been a banner year for Goodson. He was suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's PED policy and appeared in just two games before being placed on season- ending injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in a Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Goodson had signed a three-year, $6 million contract with the Jets in March after playing three seasons with the Panthers and one with the Oakland Raiders. You have to wonder how much more of that deal he'll see.
