The New York Jets have signed linebacker Jason Taylor for two-years, $13 million. Taylor wanted to return to the Dolphins but decided to accept New York's offer after realizing there was no opportunity for him to play for Miami. Taylor is the NFL's active sack leader and the player with more sacks than anyone since 2000.

No doubt, they're going all out and I don't think they're done yet. I'm drawing a blank on a team ever previously going this nuts before the draft. Gonna be interesting to see how it works out in the long run.

Good for them, lot of expectation to live up to though. It's not going to be like last year where you sneak up on teams.

10 sacks on this D? Good signing for the Jets...

At 6.5 million a year it's far from a good signing. Taylor, as much as he is one of my favorite players, is not worth anything close to that. His play is steady, but declining.

He will make $3.75 mil this year, if he comes back he will make $10 mil. IF he comes back I guarente that the Jets will cut him

3.5 mil is still to much for someone who will see maybe 15 snaps a game.

He's definitely not a full-time player, but I think the time he's in there in, in the Jets D, he can be rather productive.

JT still has a little bit left in the tank, but not at $3.5 million. Although, his leadership and influence in the locker room will be great for the Jets. Shame that the Fins didn't want to resign him. :icon_sad:

Another good addition to this defence. You have to think that this is the year that the Jets have to push for the AFC Championship.

Ryan will you him wisely and get the most out of him. Pats hate this signing

Last I checked the money wasn't coming out of any of our pockets, uncapped year and solid veteran pass rusher so why wouldn't they?

what a waste of time and money the guy is a has-been....he will produce nothing and coach ryan will have no choice but to put him on the inactive list on gameday.
