In an attempt to strengthen their right tackle position, the New York Jets on Monday acquired Jeff Otah from the Carolina Panthers, in exchange for an undisclosed conditional draft choice. A 2008 first-round pick of the Panthers, No. 19 overall, Otah has been plagued by knee injuries. He played four games the past two seasons. However, Jets starting right tackle Wayne Hunter has been heavily criticized, and Otah will provide training camp competition for Hunter if healthy. Source: Sporting News
