Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who missed most of last season with a Lisfranc injury in his left foot, maintained that he is not yet fully healthy despite hauling in a career-high 154 receiving yards in Sunday’s 27-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium, Kevin Armstrong of the New York Daily News reports. “I still have a long way to go,†Holmes said. Holmes has continued to develop a rapport with rookie quarterback Geno Smith, and he has enjoyed new offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg’s receptiveness to the players on offense. Holmes acknowledged the Jets’ willingness to stretch the field with downfield passing, but noted that they need to keep focusing on the little things such as the Titans’ tendencies to strip the ball. “We just have to be sound in our technique,†Holmes said.
