Former Redskins coach Joe Gibbs wanted to know what they were thinking when Philadelphia traded five-time Pro Bowl QB Donovan McNabb to their division rivals in Washington. "I didn't quite understand that one," Gibbs told ESPN of the McNabb trade (via PFT). "Because what you're doing is you're taking someone in the division and giving them a quarterback." The Eagles acknowledged the risk of trading McNabb to the Redskins, whom they play twice per season, when they made the deal in early April. Gibbs, who went 3-5 against McNabb and the Eagles when he coached the Redskins from 2004-2007, said he has memories of being burned by the QB. "My problem with Donovan was when we played against them, he hurt us," Gibbs said. "He's a big man, he scrambles out of the pocket, he's hard to get down, and when he gets out of the pocket, he makes big plays down the field." Source: USA Today
