New Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels says he plans to build the St. Louis offense around quarterback Sam Bradford AND running back Steven Jackson. "We'll hope to build around those two guys and do the best we can going forward with our offensive system," McDaniels said. McDaniels had a pass-happy reputation in Denver, with the Broncos running the ball only 39 percent of the time this season. "I'm looking forward certainly to working with everybody there," McDaniels told the Post-Dispatch on Tuesday evening. "Sam's an extremely talented player....He's a very accurate guy. Does a lot of things in the pocket well. Does things out of the pocket well. We'll hope to take the things that he did well this year and try to build on ‘em as he goes into his second year." As for Jackson? "Steven is a guy that I've admired for a long time," McDaniels said. "He's a versatile guy. He runs downhill and gets the hard yards. Takes care of the football very well, which is obviously important in our game. And he's got the opportunity and the ability to take it the distance when he touches the football." If you can't beat 'em.....join them. Steve Spagnuolo stopped McDaniels' offense in Super Bowl 42......limiting the Patriots to a season low 14 points in 2007. But together.....they should make a great pair.
Build around Bradford and Jackson. If Josh needs anymore insight on where to start he can always give me a call.
Wait.... You mean as OC he can't chase his two most important players from the team? I don't think this is going to work.
The cheating ex-coach, and former Patriot staff member. Who was part of the staff in New England, when they were caught red handed, filming the Rams walk through for the Superbowl. He better had come up with the good's, I dont see the Rams faithful being very patient with this guy. Although he has shown himself top be a very good OC. I hope the Rams do not let him anywhere near the draft room come April? GO RAMS
