A judge has denied a request by former Dallas Cowboy Josh Brent to exclude a blood-alcohol test from his intoxication manslaughter case. Brent, 25, is accused of driving drunk and crashing his car in December, which led to the death of Jerry Brown Jr., his best friend and Cowboys teammate. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted. Tests showed he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.18, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08. But Brent’s attorney said that evidence should be thrown out because the test was not legally obtained. Source: Dallas Morning News
