Common Pleas Court judge Albert Shepherd ruled on Monday that the Eagles' football organization must immediately pay the City of Philadelphia $8 million. That's the amount the city had been claiming it was owed as its share of skybox revenues at Veterans stadium going back to the late 1990s. The same judge is expected to rule later this month on the Eagles' counter-claim that the city owes the team $8 million for a canceled exhibition game with the Baltimore Ravens that was never played.

cant wait to hear super nerd's rersponse to this.

btw - the notion tht the eagles lost $8mil on a pre-season game is laughable. $3mil tops. 1st off the stadium is 1/2 filled for those games so they make next to nothing in consessions and most people elected to roll thatmoney over to the playoff invoices so they sat on a big sum and made a ton of interest.

no matter it will be nice to have this done with once and for all after the judge makes his decision on what the city owes to the eagles.
