A major decision in the lawsuit of Minnesota Vikings players Pat and Kevin Williams was reached late Friday. It appears the suspensions will now be enforced for three New Orleans Saints players who sued along with Pat and Kevin Williams. In a way, it's back to square one for the Williamses now that the federal judge threw out nine of their 11 claims against the NFL and sent the rest of the case back to state court.

dabearsrule is right. this was just a big waste of time. the williamses are guilty. just serve the suspension and enjoy the rest.

    Guilty ???

    They took a substance that

    • had previously been approved by the NFL (McAlister had it tested 3 years ago)
    • Were later contaminated/changed so it contained a substance not on the label
    • The NFL KNEW were contaminated, but didn't bother to inform the players
    • Even if the judge found in favour of the NFL he still critized the league

uh huh. right .............. do you seriously think the league WANTS the black eye of these drug failures if they could be easily explained or avoided? the league isn't going to suspend someone for failed drug tests unless they are absolutely 100% guilty of taking ped's. the information that you are quoting that is 'leaked' to the fans is 'leaked' on purpose by the nflpa, the agents, and possibly even people from 'sources' from the league to try and leave a reasonable doubt in your mind as to whether these guys are actually taking ped's or not. the league would lose too much legitimacy if we were all certain that most of the guys were juicing with something. they HAVE to put this doubt in your mind and apparently it's working ............... on you at least.

A few former Bears players have been suspended for this exact samething in the past and took it like a man and served their suspensions right away. So what makes the Williams boys so special?

Finkle actually made a deposition under oath about this - so I still say the league ***********

Besides the NFL does not dispute the above - but just say that the "players are responsible for what is in their bodies" are a catch all frase. Notice also that the Judge critized the NFL's attitude in his ruling. Also Bumetanide is not even Ped's - its a masking agent that can be used to conceal Ped's
