This is a 10 team keeper League with the same group of guys every year. Entry fee is $50. Standard point setup....25 yd/1pt QB's, 10 yd/1 pt rushing/recieving 6 point TD's.

We keep 3 players each year and lose picks for each one. (Keep 3 players lose your first 3 picks, 2 players 2 picks etc...)

I lost again this week dropping my record to 4-6 which basically eliminates me from playoff contention. We do have a consolation tournament with the teams that finish 5-8 to determine the draft order for the next year....for instance.

1st pick is the winner of consolation bracket (5th place basically)
    2. runner up consolation 6th place
    3. 7th place
    4. 8th
    5. 9th
    6. 10th
    7. 4th
    8. 3rd
    9. 2nd
    10. Winner

Now for my dilemna, I was offered a trade that appears pretty one sided at first glance but may well give me a huge boost for next season.

I give up Aaron Rodgers, and Greg Jennings and a 16th rd. pick
I get Jason Campell, Wes Welker and a 4th rd pick.

My keepers are going to be Westbrook, Ronnie Brown more than likely, if I don't make the trade I may keep Jennings to. If I make the deal I'll probably just stick with the 2 and gain a 3rd rd pick.

I would start next season with Westbrook and Brown and my choice of players in the 3rd round before anyone else picked and 2 4th rd picks.

    Do I make the deal?

On a side note, the Packers schedule for the rest of fantasy season is pretty brutal also.

I'd do the deal. You can find a WR as good as Jennings in the third & fourth round next season unless of course everyone hangs on to them...

Explain again how you would get to choose your third round pick before other teams choose? Are you banking on the other teams holding 3 players each?

Exactly, that's assuming everyone else keeps 3 players.......I know for a fact 4 people are keeping 3 already......we don't have to declare keepers untill a week after our SB though which puts it around Jan 1.

In a 10 Team league, there should be plenty of WR's to draft and who knows, the guy you trade Jennings to may not keep him and you could draft him again. What's his team look like? Think he will keep Jennings? I think I'd definitely do the trade...

I'd love to see the rosters or who you think the other teams will keep...

The ones I know for sure Ward are
    Team 1:
Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Matt Forte

    Team 2
Drew Brees, Reggie Wayne, Roddy White

    Team 3
Anquan Boldin, Frank Gore, Clinton Portis

    These I'll list possibilities...
    Team 4
Micheal Turner, Tony Romo, ???.....Tom Brady, Slaton, Witten, Houshmanzadeh

    Team 5
Ladanian Tomlinson, Brandon Jacobs, Peyton Manning, Braylon Edwards

    Team 6
Barber, Gates, Plaxico, Big Ben.....this guy may not keep anyone.

    Team 7
T Owens, Jones-Drew, Reggie Bush, Dwayne Bowe, Chad Johnson

    Team 8
Adrian Peterson, Randy Moss, Steve Smith, Santana Moss

The guy who offered the trade:
Larry Fitzgerald and that will be it unless I trade him Jennings and Rodgers.

    Me:
    Westbrook, Ronnie Brown, Jennings, Rodgers

I'd take the trade, keep Westbrook period and roll with that. I might not even keep Westy.

I'm leaning towards taking it.....our deadline is Friday so I have a few days to think about it. I need some opinions, I want to hear the Cons from someone also.....

There will be a few good WR's out there when all is said and done and when I say "good" I mean of Jennings caliber. Most likely a few good QB's too...possibly Tom Brady? It looks like Houshmanzadeh and Burress could be available as well. I'd still do that trade. What will suck is if Tom Brady is there, he's very tempting to take, but then you miss out on a couple more WR's. You gotta hope that team reaches and keeps Slaton and releases Brady, Witten and Housh...or maybe keeps Brady and releases Slaton, Witten and Housh.

The only con I really can think of in the deal is for this season.....If you noticed the consolation bracket.......the way it's structured is to reward the team that wins it (5th place) the #1 pick. If I take the deal it may weaken me enough to where I don't have a chance of winning it.

I set it up like that to keep the teams that are out of it now interested and setting their lineup throughout the whole season. It gives them the incentive if they're fighting for the #1 pick.

    FYI.....I made the trade today.

I'm trying to work a deal to bring Santana Moss my way also to pair up with Campell for the next 6 weeks. Offered Deangelo Williams and Torry Holt for him and he's considering it until tomorrow.
